Pricing explained
Kwoat uses a credit and wallet system that gives you full visibility into what you spend. No hidden fees. No surprise bills. Here's exactly how it works.
The two ways to pay
Credits (Pro and Pro Max plans)
Credits are a monthly allowance included with your Pro or Pro Max subscription. They reset every billing cycle and are split into four pools — one per model tier:
- Standard pool — Gemini 2.5 Flash, GPT-4o Mini, Llama 3.3 70B, Mistral Small 4
- Advanced pool — GPT-5.4, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Grok 4.3
- Premium pool — Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.7
- Video pool — Kling 2.6 Pro (Pro Max only — 5 videos/month)
Credits from one pool cannot be used for another tier. When a pool runs out, Kwoat automatically draws from your wallet — you are never blocked mid-conversation.
Wallet (all plans)
The wallet is a prepaid balance you top up manually. It works like a prepaid card:
- Top up with any amount
- Charged per request based on actual usage
- Never expires — balance carries over indefinitely
- Used for Pay As You Go requests, Pro/Pro Max plan overage, and feature charges

How much does a message cost?
Cost depends on the model and conversation length. Roughly:
- Standard models: 1–3 credits per message
- Advanced models: 3–15 credits per message
- Premium models: 10–50 credits per message
The exact cost is shown below every AI response. You always know what you've spent.

Image generation pricing
Images are billed by count, not credits. Pro users get 20 images/month included, Pro Max gets 100. After that, each image is charged to your wallet.

What happens when credits run out?
When your monthly credit pool runs out, Kwoat automatically switches to your wallet balance at the Pay As You Go rate. You are never blocked mid-conversation. If your wallet is also empty, you'll see a prompt to top up before your next message.
Local currency pricing
Kwoat supports local currency billing for African users (NGN, KES, GHS, ZAR, UGX, TZS, EGP, ZMW) via Flutterwave — mobile money, bank transfer, and cards. International users are billed in USD via Stripe. Currency is detected automatically from your location when you sign up.
Annual billing
Annual plans give you 1 month free (8.3% saving):
- Pro annual: $209/year ($17.42/month equivalent)
- Pro Max annual: $1,639/year ($136.58/month equivalent)
To switch to annual: cancel your current plan from the Subscription page, then resubscribe selecting the annual option. Your access continues until the end of your current period.
Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel your subscription anytime — access continues until end of billing period.
- No partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
- Wallet balance never expires and is not refundable except as required by law.
- If your account is terminated for violating our terms, wallet balance is forfeited.
